This looks like a failed nose surgery. What was wrong with the previous one? (and no, the lack of fun cannot be a fault)

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

the previous one can at least play off a front plate

I can only assume that the hourglass shaped grill is to subtly remind their target audience that they are going to die soon so they should get a new Lexus while they wait.

You could drill into the bumper of the old one and not feel too bad. The new spindle grilles need zip ties or offset plates or else you feel terrible to drill into the grille.

Appeals to the #yoloswag market getting into Lexuses too, it’s only a matter of time before (it seems) the many 20-30 year olds who buy Lexuses wrap their RC Fs or IS350s into trees.

At least they’re styling their cars. The Germans can’t even be bothered to do that.

The real Godzilla takes offense to your comment.

Great point. The Germans now make melting cars:
It’s just that some melting cars got into the freezer before they completely melted, that’s why some look better than others.

I should Photoshop the Lexus grille on a GT-R.

I like the new one 100x better.

Cannot unsee.

Please do. Or GT-R grille on a Lexus.

The grille looks great, but on an otherwise conservative and relaxed car, it doesn’t work.

Lexus’s design really peaked with the 2nd gen ES300. (Totally not biased)

I think this was better. (totally not biased)

And the price is cheaper. But customer service? Not as good as the Lexus.

Those actually aren’t bad at all. I’d take Germany’s melted bar of soap over Japan’s predator cosplay gone wrong.

I’d rock a M6 GC all day before an LS600hL.

Don’t care, I can’t stand it.

If I had the money, in will come drift bars, in comes rallying Hellas lamps and out goes the entire front fascia.

This giant, gawping grill trend has got to be stopped.

To each their own. I think it livens up an otherwise bland boring commuter.
Major League Gaming? I used to play RB6V in MLG events.

I use the term MLG in the sense of the “420 blaze it mtn dew get noscoped” internet personality. I’ve played in MLG in Halo and I really sucked at it.

The old grill wasn't instantaneously recognizable as a Lexus. Lets face it, the typical ES buyer isn't all that sprightly, and usually has fading mental acuity.
How are they supposed to find their car if it isn't so overtly Lexus?
![]() 05/13/2015 at 23:11 |

You might find that nowadays ES buyers are bright. Because used Lexus > new Civic, or so it seems.

Never. In its ENTIRE LIFE. Has it looked more like a Camry.
